The extraordinary album ‘Vulnicura’ by Björk was released six year’s ago. It’s one of her best albums in my opinion, and it was a real return to form after the disappointing ‘Volta’ and challenging ’Biophilia’. There are two standout tracks, which sit alongside some of her best: ‘Stonemilker’ and ‘Black Lake’ with a notable mention to ‘Notget’ ‘Lionsong’ and ‘Atom Song’ featuring the gorgeous vocals of Antony. With only nine tracks it is one of Björk’s shortest albums but it doesn’t suffer from it. The subject matter, the breakup of a recent relationship at the time, comes across in the vibe of the album, as well as the lyrics.
